I’m a Snap Chat enthusiast. It is my social media of choice.
In most circumstances I prefer it over texting. I don’t really know what it is
about Snap Chat that I love so much. It’s quick, easy, and fun. I love using it
to keep in touch with my friends that I otherwise would never see. I like being able to
experience what others are experiencing, and share my experiences with others
as well. It’s one way that I can let my parents know what I’ve been up to,
without having to engage in a lengthy phone conversation.
There are always others who disagree with Snap Chat
completely. I have friends who refuse to download the app. They think that the
government will keep our photos and use them against us in the future. On the other hand, I think
Snap Chat is a great tool for keeping in contact with friends and family. If
you use it right, in line with the standards of the gospel, then there is nothing
to worry about and Snap Chat can become an awesome asset.
I agree that Snapchat can be a great tool to connect with people and be a part of other peoples' experiences. As long as it is used appropriately, it can be a lot of fun!

ReplyDeleteI am one who knew it was created for a terrible purpose and saw people in High school using it for bad things so I have just never seen the glory in it. I do know many people who love it and use it for keeping in touch with friends and family. I just can see that it can be another piece of social media to get addicted to so I avoid it. I want to always value and prefer long conversations on the phone or in person. Would you say that snapchat accompanies your other social media or takes its place?
ReplyDeleteI think its good to have the perspective that we can't escape media. However, when we align our moral beliefs with different media tools we can use it as a force for good and fun! I never had snap chat in high school but now I use it for fun with my fiance and sister. When it comes to media its not always the WHAT but the HOW.
