Lately I have been thinking about the many different ways we
can communicate, I even ranked them for myself. Second on my list, following
face to face communication, is FaceTime. I think that FaceTime or Skype is one
of the greatest blessings we get from technology these days. I love being able to communicate with my friends and
family this way. Even though we can’t be physically present with each other, I
see video chat as the next best thing.
I live close to my family now, but when I lived an ocean
away from them I would look forward to the moments when we could FaceTime. It allowed
me to be at my little brothers’ piano recitals and lacrosse games when there was no way I could make it. Since my brother and I were at school, we couldn't take family pictures together for a Christmas card. We took a screenshot of our FaceTime session and used that instead. It will always be one of my favorite pictures.
I can experience the special moments with family and friends using FaceTime and because of that, it has become a huge blessing in my life.
